1. This is a less expensive alternative to the subzero branded cartridges and should function equivalently.2. There is NO CARBON in the cartridge.3. Inside the cartridge is a mirrored chamber with a UV-C bulb surrounded by small loose glass tubes (see image), which is why the cartridge rattles (this is normal). The bulb appears to be very sturdy, but some of the small tubes can crack or the edges can get ground up during shipping which can lead to some “dust” shaking out. Look up “rebuilding a subzero air filter” on YouTube for full details.4. You can TEST THE CARTRIDGE to be sure the bulb is intact: With the fridge door open swing up the air filter cover; DON’T eject the cartridge; press the door/light button (so the fridge thinks the door is closed) which will turn off the main light, activate the UV-C bulb (you’ll hear it pop on like a fluorescent bulb), and you should hear a fan kick on to blow air through the cartridge; look for a bluish glow (see image), which indicates that the bulb is functional; BE CAREFUL since UV-C light is dangerous to skin and eyes.

To be fair I didn’t know my fridge had a filter let alone they needed to be regularly changed for YEARS. However once I found out I was delighted there was a generic less expensive option. I can hear it power on when the door opens and can see the little purple light coming from the device. Glad I read reviews explaining that the broken glass sound if you shake it is normal.

A solid choice – a domestically produced replacement part with all the performance of the original equipment at substantial savings from the manufacturer’s replacement part. It’s one thing to pay through the nose for razor blades after getting the razor for free! This isn’t that! For as much as I paid for my Sub-Zero side-by-side refrigerator, I should get free air and water filters for as long as I own the product. The last thing I desire is to be gouged by the manufacturer’s exorbitant margins for replacement parts. This purchase is a good alternative for those with my sentiments.

I have tried every dry texture spray and this one outdoes them all. It has a high pressure sprayer that delivers a lot of product really fast, a few tiny sprays and you’re good to go. I’m in love, will never buy any of the other ones again. Great piecey texture and volume.The only slight downside to me is it has a grape scent, which is consistent with their other products. Not my favorite scent. But I can live with it. Shortly after I spray it, I can’t smell it anymore.

I sprayed this six inches away from my head just in places where I wanted a lift. If you want Texas large hair, this won’t work for you. It will give your hair lift without that greasy feeling. My hair is dark brown and many products can leave it looking like something slimy that was pulled out of a drain. I tried it this morning to style it. By the end of the day, it’s not flat. It’s soft to the touch, and not oily. I can run my fingers through my hair with ease. I got this in the travel size to try it out. When it runs out I’ll be ordering the full size.
