I bought this item in good faith since it received favorable reviews. However, when I received it, the spray nozzle was broken and it was obviously so old that the scent had turned to near pure alcohol. It does not even smell remotely like patchouli. Maybe it did five years ago when the item was NEW, but no longer. Now I cannot return it due to Amazon’s “hazardous materials” policy. Buyer beware.

Last time I checked, Men wear cologne, not Women. Women wear perfume. I have always liked Patchouli but could not afford to buy it while the kids were growing up. Now I can enjoy it without worry.

I discovered these Demeter colognes in a store yesterday, with a tester bottle for each. Patchouli was one of three that I bought and was the one I liked best.It’s a nice patchouli, not nice enough to be a main scent for the day, but okay for pulse points at ankle and knee.

Perfume arrived on time with no damage or indication of it being an imitation as I have seen with other buyers. I LOVE this perfume. I don’t wear much perfume especially not very expensive perfumes so I don’t have much to compare this to. I feel like it lasts a good amount of time on my skin and I get compliments on it all the time. It smells like the name to be honest like a dewy, wet, green garden. It’s refreshing, clean, crisp, and full of what smells like a hint of dirt or soil, rain or dew, and white and earthy florals to me. It is so simple, light, and unique. I think it would make an especially great spring or summer scent but it smells great anytime in the year! I am obsessed I can’t wait to buy another bottle.
