Oribe Curl Shaping Mousse 5.7 Oz

This is the first product for MY SPECIFIC TYPE of curly hair (fine, wavy, needs the right product and the right “touch” to curl well) that REALLY WORKS great! My hair is too curly/wavy to look good straightened (frizzies) OR when I try to wear it curly, most other products aren’t strong enough without being a pure crunchy glue-like substance which leaves my hair completely untouchable, with no bounce…dead hair look! Or it is so soft that it doesn’t hold the curls well at all. I had no idea just how curly my hair was before I discovered this product through my stylist. Although I use quite a bit (a handful), once I coat my hair with it I can then just either comb waves in the crown of my below chin-length hair or just scrunch it up, and let it air dry… a head full of really great, non-crunchy waves and curls that hold extremely well. I like to wear my hair pulled up into a loose french twist with some soft, curly tendrils, a few days after washing…this product provides so much body, my hair never has that SLICKED BACK look it had gotten in the past when I put it in any type of updo. It works better if I air dry it…no frizz at all. Drying with defuser on low is second best, but I always try to let it air dry as long as possible, like while I’m putting on my makeup if I’m going out. What little “crunch” their may be (usually around the crown) can be easily finger-combed out. The curls can be revived for several days with either a little spritz of water or just by letting the steam from a shower (not getting your hair really wet). I like to pin mine up into giant pin-curls or scrunchy clips before getting into the shower…seems to make it curl/wave even more. I absolutely LOVE this product…great for colored hair. You cannot imagine how many products I’ve tried, but I’ll be 63 years old next month, so you do the math!

The older I get, the curlier my hair gets. Guess that’s the only gift of old age I like.But, I didn’t know how to care for curly hair. My daughter, Bethany, a cosmetologist at the Obadiah Salon in Bellevue, WA, got me addicted to this product. I comb my hair before I shower, lightly towel dry, DON’T COMB OR BRUSH, massage in the mousse, and blow dry with a diffuser. POOF! Beautiful curls, unless it’s a windy day, then nobody has good hair.For a refresh, I spray my hair with water, reapply mousse, and blow dry.My only disappointment is they don’t have a trial size, so I have to use a generic product when I travel by air.

This product is touted for it’s volume and curl enhancing and it works well. My experience with other products is that they do one thing or another but not both. So far so good!

This did nothing for my curls. The result was very limp hair with a lot of flat spots. And no return or exchange allowed by Amazon.

I can’t live without this product. Makes all the difference. Curls, volume, styling. Love!

Really lasts a long time. I am replacing a canister after a year. Stays fresh, does not leave hair feeling sticky or heavy. Really fresh scent, not overpowering . I also use the hand lotion, really like the fragrance.

I’m a male with medium coarse curly/wavy hair. I just finished doing my weekly hair mask routine (I used Kerastase Chronologiste Hair Mask) and I followed it with the Moroccan Oil treatment to lock in the moisture. With my hair now having a burst of moisture from the routine I’d try this mousse, nope was a mistake.Straight-up dried out my hair and made it greasy, blow-drying it was annoying since it felt sticky, essentially ruining the routine lol. I had to wash it out of my hair and contacted Amazon for a refund since it’s non-returnable.I’m not saying this product will do that for everyone, just my experience with it.
