I am pickier about perfume than I am body mist because they are stronger and seem to last a much longer period of time. For that reason, I want something that I am actually going to ENJOY smelling all day. I do not like anything with a cheap, generic floral perfume smell. I’m honestly not a big fan of florals in general because they tend to be very overpowering. I was pleasantly surprised by this fragrance!While it does definitely have floral notes, I found it to be a bit on the sweet and spicy side, too. It’s quite lovely! The scent is fresh, clean, and doesn’t smell stale after wearing it for several hours. I still get frequent wafts of it throughout the day which I love! Two of my close friends asked what fragrance I was wearing because they also really liked it!I get migraines from overpowering perfume and this one didn’t bother me at all. I thought it was pretty light compared to most perfumes I have tried.The gift box is colorful, vibrant, yet simple. You get a nice assortment of sizes in this set – a 3.4 oz eau de parfum spray, a 0.34 oz eau de parfum spray (perfect purse size), and an 8 oz fragrance mist.While I would personally never select a fragrance for someone else since they are so personal, this one would make a wonderful gift if you just knew that this scent would be loved by the recipient! It is certainly gift worthy! 🙂

I’ve been wanting to find a new go to scent to wear and decided to try Derek Lam 10 Crosby – A Hold On Me. I have not tried other perfumes from this brand before, but Amazon got me with the power of suggestion and a great product write up. It mentions “Black Pepper Madagasgar, Cinnamon Tree Leaf Essence, Egyptian Jasmine, Honey Accord, Patchouli and Ebony Accord” as being part of the scent notes. Now I am definitely not a perfume aficionado and will not wow you with technical descriptions but I can tell you my experience.I typically do not like floral scents, heavy scents, or things that are too sweet. I tend to like warm, clean scents. I’m complicated, I know. This scent is very clean – a bit refreshing. It is lightweight, not overpowering, but still delightful to your nose. My fiancé (who dislikes everything) actually said he liked the smell of it (WINNING!). It doesn’t smell childish and it also doesn’t smell ‘old’. It did make me nervous to buy a scent online without testing it first, but I have no regrets about this one.The set itself is well appointed. It comes in a bright yellow box that is very sturdy. The majority of the box is actually a lid that pulls off and reveals the 3 items on display while still being safely stored. Brilliant packaging – keeps everything safe for shipment/travel while also making a positive impact while opening. It would make a great gift. There is a large size perfume, a small travel size perfume, and a fragrance mist. I’ve never bought fragrance mist so I will have to look into this one more to see how I might use it. A little bit goes a long way so I think this set is very affordably priced. You get a lot of bang for your buck here!Highly recommend.

I ordered this on a whim, having never smelled it in the past, and was absolutely floored by how much I loved the scent once it arrived.This set is beautifully packaged in a fun and bright, cheerful, high quality box. The products themselves were created with equal care and thought. I love the magnetic lid closures. Each of the three products are different enough to provide good value. I find the mist and the parfum both smell slightly differently on my skin, and the travel size is perfect for in my purse.As someone who normally likes both sweet and fresh scents, this perfectly combines those into a dreamy fragrance for me. It’s not something that smells too childish or mature, either. I think this could be worn by all ages. I absolutely love it, and I’m enjoying it so much that I occasionally find myself spritzing this on in the evenings after my shower but right before bed, because I just enjoy it that much and want to smell it all the time.
