I’m not a young guy and I’ve installed my own (and others) car stereos for 40 years. I’ve had many of the big names and have generally preferred Kenwood and Alpine head units. Their performance was always something I could count on. But the price was something I’d have to think about each time I had to choose. One of my current vehicles is a 12-year-old Dodge Ram 1500 4×4 work truck with few bells and whistles. At 133K miles, it’s had a hard life The radio’s display was barely visible even in dim light, so it was time for a change.I again looked at Kenwood, Alpine, Sony, JVC, and others, and to get the features I wanted, I was going to once again dump a lot of cash. So, instead, I found this Sjoybring radio on Amazon. It had everything I wanted: Android Auto, a backup camera, and Bluetooth. The price was suspiciously low, but given the great reviews, I took a chance. >>> And I am SO glad I did!

I am someone that loves LEGO, collectables, and anything space related. When I found this, I couldn’t resist it. It’s a great build for any teen or adult to build. It took me a couple hours to build, so a great way to pass some time if the weather is less than ideal outside. Here’s what I think of the set:Pros:- Fun set to build: It is about the right size to pass some time and pretty fun to put together. There were very few stickers, one of the things I hate when building sets, and I never really ran into any difficulties when building it. There was 1 or 2 parts where the instructions were not super clear on where something attached, but that was easily rectified by moving further on into the build.- Pretty good detail: The detail, for a LEGO set, was pretty good. I really liked the mini shuttle and minitures that were included.- Not super big: While this is larger than some of the smaller sets out there, this one is just right to fit on a smaller shelf. I have mine on a shelf on my TV stand with the solar panels folded some down. It is wide, however, so you’ll need about a foot of space side to side.Cons:- Some parts of it are easy to knock off. I found this very true with the modules coming off the main body. I knocked them off quite a few times while building- There’s quite a few small parts. This does not bother me, but if you do not like having a lot of small parts to put together, this may not be the set for you. You’ll also want to have a large enough table to spread them out and not drop them. I dropped one part on a throw rug and didn’t think I’d find it.- A few parts were a bit hard to snap together.Overall, this was a fun little build. I have built some larger sets that got tiring around the 6-7 hour mark, but this one was just about right. And it looks great mixed in with some of the other things displayed around the house. This is one set that I would recommend to anyone looking for a quick LEGO set to do. This is also a great set for gifting to someone who loves space.

I installed the SJoybring JOY-D009 in my 2005 Ford F150 in January 2022, approximately seven months ago. My thoughts here serves as my long-term review of this product. Bottom line: overall, this head unit is an excellent value. I had a couple of issues (see details below), but they were resolved quickly via SJoybring’s excellent customer support.Installation was no more difficult than other units that I’ve installed. Definitely purchase the trim kit and aftermarket wiring harness for your vehicle if you’re going to do it yourself. It makes the installation much easier, and you won’t have to cut up your vehicle’s wiring harness in the process. The only issue I experienced with installation was with my truck’s factory subwoofer which had a buzzing noise whenever the head unit was powered. It turned out this issue had nothing to do with the head unit, though–the problem was actually with the aftermarket wiring harness which was missing a critical ground pin for my factory subwoofer. I ended up moving one of the unused pins on the aftermarket wiring harness to account for the missing ground pin, and the noise was resolved.Navigating the screens of the head unit is fairly straightforward. It was easy to figure out after a few minutes of working with the device. Wired Android Auto works great. I ended up pairing this unit with the Motorola MA-1, so I now have wireless Android Auto.Some pros and cons:CONS:- I didn’t think this would be an issue for me, but I miss not having an actual knob for the volume control/on-off switch. It can be a challenge to press the correct location for the volume up/down buttons when the vehicle is moving. If this is a deal breaker for you, I’m fairly certain there’s a version of this head unit that has a physical volume control/on-off knob.- The screen brightness is somewhat dim if the vehicle’s headlights are turned on during the daytime (for example, when it’s raining). This won’t be an issue if you don’t connect the headlight sensor wire when installing the unit, but you’ll also lose the automatic dimming of the screen when the headlights are turned off during nighttime. There’s a separate control for adjusting the brightness of the screen, but you shouldn’t make these kinds of changes to the settings while the vehicle is in motion.- I had an issue with the unit resetting itself occasionally (maybe once or twice per month). However, this issue seems to have been fixed with a firmware upgrade. I’ve experienced zero resets since installing the new firmware. If that changes, I’ll update this review.PROS:- Other than the resetting issue mentioned above (which is now apparently fixed), the unit has worked as advertised.- The unit in my truck has now been through a cold winter and a hot summer without experiencing any problems. No worries there.- Customer service has been excellent. SJoybring responded to my email about the resetting issue within two hours by sending me the updated firmware files. The instructions provided were easy to follow, and I upgraded the firmware without a problem.- Android Auto and hands-free phone operation have been working perfectly. Very nice upgrade for an older vehicle.- After I adjusted the unit’s equalizer settings, I thought the sound quality was at least as good as what I had with my factory head unit–maybe even a bit better.If you’ve got older technology in your vehicle and want to bring it up to current standards without breaking the bank, the SJoybring JOY-D009 should be on your short list.

First and foremost this system is very cheaply made hence the price . Bluetooth calls are delayed , CarPlay sometimes overheats and lags out, rear camera won’t turn on sometimes( have to restart the system to show) and usb feature sometimes won’t work unless you restart the system then plug-in your device. Otherwise I had this system for about a year and I can’t complain. This system has so many features that other competitions would ask you premium to pay for . Camera can work when you do some rebooting , CarPlay works again after rebooting then plug-in the usb and Bluetooth even though it’s very laggy and delaying still works if your only listening to music . For a guy like me who only needs a decent Bluetooth radio it’s fine and it does the job . Now of course you do condulge getting a better experience and a higher quality stereo system this radio wouldn’t be for you and I’d go with a more profound brand like pioneer or Sony but expect to pay almost double the amount for exactly the same feature that this brand has . Plus support team is very very nice they at least help you out in troubleshooting the stereos.for how cheap this is a and for this amount of feature I give a review of fair

I ran across this looking for back up cameras and as it wasn’t much more, decided to take a chance as I wasn’t happy with the stock stereo anyway. The installation was pretty straightforward once I got a useable diagram of my 2013 Subaru Forester’s wiring harness.But once installed, while it plays music – the touchscreen starts registering seemingly random selections, making it nearly unusable. I’ve found if I select the AV IN and use my Echo Auto to listen to music there isn’t much it can mess up. It basically cycles through dimming the screen, turning off the screen, or turning the screen on bright.It does Carplay but obviously I don’t dare leave it in that.That said, when reversing the back up screen cuts in and works as expected. So that’s nice.Yes, I did check the wiring. Four times. And actually I started only with the ACC/B+ and GND before wiring in the speakers. Then at the end I connected the backup cam and a couple others but always to the same effect.So… just so you know, it’s not expensive but don’t expect it to be great.Maybe I’ll send it back but we will see.

I like the touch screen look in my vehicle. I thought it would mirror my phone via Bluetooth but I have to plug it in. That was probably my error when reading the features.

I used these to secure the plastic panels under the hood on my 2010 Toyota Highlander. I bought the car used and the previous owner hadn’t noticed how many were missing. These are super easy to install and you can remove them without breaking them. Not as clean looking as the factory 2005 Scion XB ones to hold the rear inside gate panel but much easier to remove to get the panel off again. These are black so don’t match the original gray ones but don’t too bad either.
