This does work to deposit color. A little too yellow for me, but nice conditioning and if you want that really golden color , then this is good. A little to yellow gold for me, but better than other color conditioners that show no color afterward. Looks better to me after a second washing.

Loved this! As a fading strawberry blonde this blonde conditioner was wonderful. I shampooed my hair then squeezed my hair to get water out. Then I applied the product and put a plastic bag over it for one hour. Rinsed with cold water and hair was soft and my husband said I smelled lovely. I love this conditioner BUT it did turn my highlights reddish blonde. Since I am (was) a natural redhead with white, blond, and reddish hair I was thrilled. But if you are a blonde and use toner or purple shampoo you will not be thrilled. I personally love the warm blonde color and dislike the trend towards grey or white colder blonde colors but to each there own.

I’ve been using this brand of Mahogany Red conditioner twice a week after I wash my hair for about 6 months now on my already red dyed hair. It does well to keep the color fresh and bright. However, it is not a very effective conditioner and my fine hair dries out very easily especially when I apply daily heat while styling. To combat this, I condition my hair with my normal conditioner twice a week, about 2 days after I use this product. Also, this product is extremely pigmented and can temporarily stain your scalp and hands. Depending on how much pigment you want to deposit into your hair, you can change how you use this product. To deposit more color (maybe an initial application to completelychange your hair color), I apply it to my DRY hair and let it sit for the duration of my shower (20 min or so) then rinse in cold water without shampooing. If you’re on more of a maintenance routine to enhance an existing red, I dilute this conditioner with my normal conditioner with about 1/3 regular conditioner and 2/3 color conditioner by mixing it in my hand before application. This also helps to improve the conditioning ability of this product. I know this sounds a little complicated, but I really enjoy the shade of red this conditioner deposits into my hair and I don’t mind the routine. The smell isn’t the best, but again, my regular conditioner improves it. The worst side effect is that when I work out at the gym and sweat, the red dye drips onto my face and clothing and can be embarrassing, but I’m sure that’s with any coloring product. Overall, it’s definitely worth the price and does it’s job as a color depositing product.

I’ve used Chi products before and haven’t been disappointed but this one truly deserves zero stars.Abysmal conditioner. My hair looks dryer than before I used it. But worst of all, it doesn’t tint. No color change at all. I left it on for 15 minutes and nothing. And the scent is nasty. Smells like dollar store cologne, no offense to dollar stores.The only good thing was that it didn’t stain my skin or shower. I had to wear gloves. And it stained a white towel but that’s expected.For the money, this product is worthless.

I finally found a product that does what it says! The color really does deposit on the hair. I had to be careful to do a second application to get the color completely even. I recommend combing through the hair while it is in the hair to get the color even. The color will vary with the blonde pieces and other shades I have, so that was a plus. To keep the color strong and vibrant, I’d recommend using it once a week. It comes in many fun colors! The colors are mixable too. I used Mahogany red and cocoa brown. I first used only the mahogany red, but it was a little too bright for my age, I thought (I’m almost 67), so I used cocoa brown, which deepened the brown and left the right amount of reds. Left my hair soooo soft, and the scent wonderful!

This definitely rescued my washed out color but as someone who skin doesn’t normally stain, I was lost for words. My back, neck, and hands are completely stained.They should have proper instructions to guide users. Please guys take proper precautions with the staining of your skin. My shower is fine somehow.

I tried all sorts of blue and purple colored toning shampoos and hair masks to correct my brassy highlights. I was almost considered dying my hair brown but I didn’t want additional damage on top of the bleach.I thought I’d give this a try. I left it on only for 3 minutes because I didn’t want it to make my highlights too dark.It completely resolved the brassiness and my highlights are a much cooler, natural looking mahogany brown color.I will continue to use this weekly

This is for all my red hair girlies ⚡️ you need this ! It’s truly the most vibrant true red conditioner I have ever used . Helps to prolong your color so much longer . Doesn’t damage the hair , matter a fact it’s an amazing moisturizing conditioner. It’s HUGE bottle that last a long time & it doesn’t get easier than just applying it right after your shampoo 🧴 . Just trust me it’s worth it 🔥

Where has this been all my hair coloring life? This stuff is no joke! It deposits a ton of color and it last through at least one wash! It does stain your hands and I won’t wear gloves in the shower but it almost completely washes out by the end of my shower; not a big deal.
