Agua Brava 100ml EDC Spray by Puig

For the life of me I couldn’t find anywhere locally that had Quorum Silver among their testers.I absolutely love Quorum itself as a long-time wearer and the composition of Quorum Silver seemed interesting to try.The worst I thought could happen is I don’t like the scent and it’s a mere $23 in the trash.The giftset had good presentation-nice box it came in and same bottle styles as the original Quorum.Still the same generous sprayer obviously.What does Quorum Silver smell like?In my opinion Quorum Silver is still designed in the sense of what struck me about Quorum 30 years ago.A very serious and mature scent…only different notes to build this character.Three words come to mind in the smell of Quorum Silver-dry,woody,and fairly spicy as an undertone.There’s a lot of cedar in this cologne so it is dry and woody.Some ginger (dry and spicy),cinnamon,and nutmeg(dry and lightly bittersweet spicy).At it’s price point I think it smells nice.It lacks formality that original Quorum has with it’s soapy clean accord that gives a polished feel in a suit.But in casual wear it does say maturity all across the board.Conclusion:Can’t say much for the aftershave because it does it’s job.I was glad I bought the Quorum Silver giftset though and I like it…definitely earned it’s place on my vanity.It doesn’t replace my love for the original Quorum though but I do wear the Silver a few days a week for a little variety.I will definitely buy a bottle of the EDT again once this runs out.For being a modern scent it does capture the mature masculinity vibe rather well without trying to smell ‘gender/gender questioning neutral’ as some newer men’s colognes try to be politically correct today.

Bought this because it was reportedly piney smelling. Nope. I guess I can see how someone might say this smells piney in the same sense that someone lift pretend a wine tastes like dragonfruit or something; it takes some creative processing. To me, it smells like I put on cologne and then walked around a Las Vegas casino for a few hours being blanketed in cigarette and cigar smoke. Also, the lettering on the bottles was all faded and the box was dusty, like it had been sitting on a shelf for ten years before it was shipped.It’s not outright “sex-panther”, therefore two stars.
