My favorite fragrance! My only complaint is the scent does not linger, since it’s so light and fresh…so you may have to use it often throughout the day. I NEVER tire of this fragrance…I mean, can you ever tire of a perfect sunny day with a few white clouds in an azure sky? No, I didn’t think so.

Haven’t given this as a gift yet but the packing wasn’t all that great for cologne which is in a glass bottle. Only had one of those “airbags” on one side and not the other. It exposed the bottle to damage if banged around. Should have been protected on all four sides instead of one. The “airbag” was on the inside of the box and protected the one side of the bottle while the other side of the bottle was up against the carboard of the box.

Great scent – citrus and forest-like. As others have said, it doesn’t last long. But its been around for centuries. Potent scent for the first 30 minutes, then weak scent up to 2 hours or so, then its pretty much gone. I think of it more as an after-shave than an actual cologne. Especially at the price-per-ounce (+/- 10 oz bottles for cheap?).Not taking off any stars. Its an awesome product for those who understand its history and its limitations. Look forward to reorder when its time.

If you grew up in Germany, you know the scent of 4711. There’s nothing else like it. This is the real deal , not a cheap knock off. It reminds me of my childhood and I love it.

Someone gave me a bottle of 4711 for Christmas a good thirty years ago or so. I loved it instantly. It is citrusy – not floral – and subtle as well as sophisticated. It’s all I ever wear in terms of fragrance anymore. I also gave it to one of my nieces a while back and she was surprised that she liked it! This is a wonderful gift and a delight to keep on one’s dressing table regularly.

My mother, grandmother and great grandmother all wore this and feeling nostalgic I ordered some. It is a classic and a truly delightful light citrus/lavender cologne that you can splash on liberally on a hot day and instantly feel fresh and cool. Very elegant scent, subtle notes and impossible to overdo it. The most beautiful bottle and incredibly low price. I love it and of course I am reminded of all my family members each time I wear it.

I love the smell, and literally dump more on me than you would think you would need, literal whore bath. The smell might last an hour or so, so that’s sad. But the sent is awesome. Just don’t expect longevity.

I first wore this cologne when stationed in Bermuda in the 60s, and just loved it, but I hadn’t been able to find it since. Still has a light floral scent that is so refreshing.

This is honestly one of the best colognes I’ve ever smelled. Super refreshing and light, only downside is you need to reapply often but that’s not an issue with just a simple small bottle. Has a very welcoming scent, almost reminded me of Bombay without harsh alcohol but all those lovely citrus notes, this bottle will last a while and when I run out I’ll buy more for sure

I’ve been using 4711 Eau de Cologne for over 50 years. It’s always consistent, has a nice fragrance (not too strong and not too light), and it lasts for years. Because the fragrance doesn’t weaken over time, I buy the big bottles that will last me 2-3 years. This makes for a great after shave.

Being German and visiting family in Germany often I grew up with 4711. My mom always had some of this around so, I may be impartial but now with internet and online shopping I now keep this on hand as well. I don’t want to leave a cloud of fragrance when I walk by. This is nice light. So I would say give it a try.
