This stuff is like voodoo magic. I have ridiculously fine and porous hair that gets weighted down easily by hair product, even those that are supposedly the holy grail for fine hair. I am not sure why I bothered trying yet another one, but I am so glad I did! It’s heat activated, so I dried my hair upside down for a bit, using fingers to add light tension and hold roots out and away from scalp while drying. Then finished by styling as usual. But I have the same struggles regardless of whether my hair is long or short, so this will likely also work in longer porous hair. (I keep saying porous because it’s really a thing…especially if you are a red head and have wondered if your hair is actively trying to sabotage you every time you pull the hair dryer out.) I think it would also work for non-porous hair…probably even better, since your hair won’t drink it up like you’ve just been on a 3-day bender in the desert.
