I tried a number of different products to use in my keratin-treated hair but only the combination of Coppola’s shampoo and conditioner help maintain the straightened look.I was told that keratin shampoo is all you need–that I could use any conditioner I want. I found that using this conditioner really helps. Just using products “good for keratin treated hair” is not enough; they seem to strip the keratin out much faster than they should. I’ve tried sulfate-free products, but they didn’t help maintain the look and feel on which I spend so much money.I have very thick, curly hair that is particularly bushy in the back, where the texture is different than the rest of my hair. Only the keratin treatments keep it soft and smooth so I can actually get my fingers through it without pulling out too much hair. I get a keratin about every 3 months now because overlapping the applications really helps. Expensive, but totally worth it.I don’t wash my hair as often as most people do–in fact, you could hardly notice. This also helps keep in the keratin.
