This stuff works miracles on my hair. I honestly wasn’t expecting such amazing results. I ordered this leave-in because I really wanted something more natural to help my curls. I was using Kinky Curly leave-in for a while and after getting through half my second bottle my hair was coming out in clumps (I’m not sure if the second bottle was defective or if the overall use was damaging). I was shedding probably 5x the normal amount and I was actually convinced I was going bald. I stopped using the leave-in for a week, I was going on vacation anyway and didn’t want to bring it, and after using oil in my hair during that time, I saw it improve. But oil doesn’t really work for my curls…my hair gets too greasy and loses all volume and shape. So when I got back I did a little research and read some reviews for the SheaMoisture line. I was pretty skeptical considering how cheap this stuff is…like most consumers I think higher price equals higher quality…but I figured I’d give it a try. I already knew that shea and black castor do wonders for hair, and this claimed to be natural, so it couldn’t do any more damage, right? I ordered the shampoo, conditioner, and this leave-in. I also ordered two other leave-ins as backup…but I haven’t touched those after I started using this. My curls are so soft and so defined. How is this even possible? I’ll wash my hair with the shampoo, which also feels amazing, and then use a little amount on the top of my scalp and throughout the driest parts. Then I brush my hair, let it air dry, and shake it out; it’s perfect. I don’t even use the conditioner that often because it’s not necessary. This leave-in detangles, moisturizes, and styles all in one. The best part? I’ve restored my hair! I’m back to my regular amount of daily shedding and running my hand through my hair is not only easy but also doesn’t pull out twenty strands at once. YAY!I have (I think) 3A/3B hair.

Wow! This stuff is powerful. I say that, because a little of this product in the hair goes a long way. Meaning, that a quarter size amount is enough to condition pass the shoulder thick hair.I have really bleached out ends and needed a new leave-in conditioner since the Mega Growth leave-in wasn’t moisturizing enough for my super dry, sticky ends. This stuff made my severely damaged, severely dried, sticky/gummy when wet hair into normal feeling, smooth, silky, soft hair. I am impressed considering this is an all natural product. It really repaired my hair without weighting it down with product, since a quarter amount was enough to silken smooth the hair. The part of the hair that wasn’t bleached out looks and feel like how my natural hair should be, especially since I do have mixed hair (I am a mixed of European, Asian, African and Central American natives), a mix of wavy, smooth, thick (as in I have tons of hair) and fine hair. My natural hair is normally silky smooth as my Asian great grandfather and Central American great grandma from mother side, but wavy from my fathers’ European side. My bleached out ends feels healthy and thicker too. Stronger than before. I have difficulties trying not to touch my hair. It hasn’t felt this nice for years.What I did… first off I stopped bleaching my newly grown roots, and use hi-lift dyes or dyes for darker hair to lighten my color to a medium silver grey color. Secondly, I used this leave-in conditioner along with a conditioner from the same brand and series. The way I used that normal conditioner of this same brand and series as a deep conditioner. I would take a small amount of that conditioner, mix it with a Fast Color additive, Platinum protein filler from Colorful and silver lining from Fanci-ful, and leave that mixture in my hair for 10 minutes, then wash it out with ice cold water. I make sure all of the conditioner is out, then towel dry. Do not scrub towel against hair, pat dry and wrap dry. After hair is dry or close to drying out put on the leave-in conditioner. I usually add leave-in conditioner when the hair is a little damped, not fully dry. The leave-in conditioner speeds the drying process and is absorbed better when the hair is a little damped.I did noticed my hair growing faster over the two jars I had used, but I think it has more to do with eating more egg whites and sleeping more than this product. However, this product does prevent the hair from falling off or breaking off, so it does help with the hair growth process in that fashion. As my hair grows out, I cut off the severely damaged ends which strengthens the healthier hair growing out further. Damage hair will make it appear that you aren’t growing, but truth is hair does grow, the severely damage ends break/fall off so no process is shown. This product will assist you on maintaining the severely damage length, strengthen the healthy part and as your hair grows enough cut off the damage part so your hair will appear to be growing quicker due to no more hair fall outs and breakages.I am amazed that I don’t need any other oil treatment or cream added to the hair, because this has it all in it already. Thank you for such a wonderful, and very powerful, product.

Great product. Very creamy and luscious. I had purchase a singular jar from another vendor before and it was kinda separated, maybe it was old. Not these they were what I thought the product should have been. I have extremely thick, black, wavy, curly hair (I’m Caucasian). It doesn’t leave my hair oily looking or leave any residue as long as I let it dry naturally. When the hair is about 90% dry on its own then I can hit it with a hairdryer if I need to. I also use it on my 3 almost 4 year old. She has long, wavy on top, ringlets on the bottom hair. It’s thick in a sense that there’s a lot of hairs, but it’s still kinda baby fine and knots up easily. This stuff works great in her hair too even if she sleeps on it wet. She’ll still wake up looking like she has model hair. She gets so many compliments it’s ridiculous. We both pair it with ECO Styler Olive Oil gel (super cheap) and I love it. Use the conditioner followed by the gel, scrunch and go. Super easy and I’m the happiest I’ve been with hair products in over 30 years.

I am in looooove!!!! This is the best leave in I’ve ever used for my 4c hair. The key is consistency. My hair felt immediate moisture from the leave in and now I use it almost everyday. It makes my hair feel shiny and it does t weigh it down. If you have very fine or thin hair this product is NOT for you because the heavy oils in it will weigh your hair down. Ask the key is to use as directed to semi wet or towel dried hair. Do not use on dry hair!! It is perfect for 4c hair and it is great for using for a twist out or braid out. I can’t stopUsing this product. Going to buy more ! P.S it does come two in a pack. Great for th reprove as well

This creamy, reasonably priced elixer is just what my hair needs. It’s heavy but absorbent, creamy offers slippage, and helps fight dryness. The scent, is not perfume-like, which I like as that kind of scent gives me headaches. It smells low key like a light creamy clay. I have bought pricier leave-in conditioners (such as Quemet) that can cost 2.5 times more than this product. I am much happier with the Shea Moisture Strengthen & Restore Leave-In Conditioner. It has added luster to my twist out, helpful with frizz reduction, and although it seems heavy and creamy to the touch, absorbs beautifully into my hair. I am a big believer in rotating products such as leave-in so that my hair health has some variety to it’s routine. But I know that I will always return to this as BAE.

I am Caucasian and in my late 40s. My hair was fine until I traveled somewhere that was cold and had hard water. I have a perm in my hair but the color is natural (well probably not the last few inches), the area that had been permed was more affected by the cold weather and hard water, this product worked wonders! My hair had become so “fried“ and felt so “wiry“ that I was contemplating cutting about six inches off which is something I desperately did not want to do. I have no affiliation with this product whatsoever but after a little research I decided to give it a try. It worked so ridiculously well but I couldn’t believe it! I’m on a budget but I was so pleased with it that I ordered four more for my daughter, sister and two friends. The one thing I would mention is that you need a ridiculously small amount, at least my hair does. My hair is about 4 inches past my shoulders and I will try to include a photo of the amount I use. At this rate it will last for years! It is not greasy or heavy in my experience. I do not put it on my roots or scalp though. I shower in both the morning and the evening and I use it after towel drying my hair both times, it did not leave any stain on the pillowcase that I noticed. I am thrilled with this product so far. I have been using it for about 10 days. I highly recommend!! The only drawback is that the smell is so – so… It’s not a bad smell but I do not think it’s a wonderful smell either… Fairly neutral in fact I cannot smell anything on my hair right now and I just put it in. PS by pure coincidence Costco is currently selling the shampoo and conditioner. I know this now sounds like I’m endorsing this but I’m just telling it like it is. I had treated myself to the shampoo and conditioner (they are fine but I was not impressed the way I am with the leave in conditioner) and was surprised when I saw they were the same brand as what I ordered. I only mention this in case it works extra well together but I suspect it will work well with anything you are happy using : )

My hair is straighter near the roots, but the middle and ends are poofy wavy frizzy. I wanted to see what this leave-in conditioner could do by itself, so I washed with Biolage Clean Reset shampoo, and applied this to damp hair. All on it’s own, it’s super moisturizing, smoothing, detangling, not sticky and smells amazing. If I use a large amount it does weigh my hair down, but I like that. I’d rather be weighed down than a poofy triangle head.

I’ve literally never left a review, but I had to for this because I love it so much! My hair is so much fuller and softer even my husband noticed!!I have fine soft hair and was worried this was only for natural hair. But I just used a very small amount. The first time I accidentally used too much and did make my hair greasy, but I gave it another try using less and it worked BEAUTIFULLY!! Plus that means it’ll last longer. Win/win. 🙂

You know what’s the toughest hair to keep long, soft, beautiful and not tangled? Horse hair. My horse Oz has no respect for his tail. He lives outside in the Arizona desert (think wind, heat, random things get caught in it, rain, etc) and I use this about weekly in his tail. It keeps his tail soft, not tangled, hydrated and super shiny! It grows about 2 inches a month, to the point that I have to trim it at least monthly to keep it from dragging on the ground. If it can work magic on his mess of a tail, certainly it does amazing for people hair

I wasn’t sure what to expect with something that has the ingredients this product has. But, it’s so good. My curls need to drink, they are thirsty, and this leave in conditioner does a great job of prepping them right out of the shower. My curls are more hydrated and soft. I also like that it’s natural ingredients. It makes me feel even better using it. It’s also great value for the product. Btw, a little goes a long way! Don’t use too much, or your hair won’t be as bouncy because this product is a little heavier, but I like that because I don’t need a ridiculous amount for it to do it’s job.

I like that it isn’t greasy in my hair at all. After I towel dry my hair I dip the tips of 3 fingers in the jar, rub it between my hands and apply to the ends first & work my way to the top of my head. I have gray hair that is thick & wavy. The humidity in Fla. made it very frizzy all the time no matter what products I used or how much or how often I used them. This cream is amazing. My hair is still soft & smooth 2 days after styling it. The fragrance is fine and disappears after it’s rubbed into my damp hair. I am so glad I tried SheaMoisture Leave in Conditioner and will definitely purchase again.
