The dropper is messy and I’d rather just pour it out, but ok.Use only a few times a week, and not on broken skin – wait, what? Why not, is it unsafe? I had to check the ingredients again. Some complex-sounding compound nouns here: that usually means “look out,” but I looked it up instead, and it sounds safe.*Bakuchiol* is a 100% natural active ingredient obtained from the babchi seeds (psoralea corylifolia plant).*Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate* (like other forms of vitamin C) can alleviate hyperpigmentation, the appearance of dark spots on the skin.*Ethyl macadamiate*Fatty acids derived from macadamia seed oil are combined with an ester of ethyl alcohol to producea clear, colorless liquid that spreads easily, “perfect for moisturizers, creams, lotions, and sunscreen.”The list goes on, but the upshot of it all is that this serum is SAFE to apply to the largest organ of our body, the skin, but it is apparently not safe on broken skin, and purists tell us that we should not apply to our skin anything we wouldn’t swallow. That leaves us with coconut oil, olive oil, or other other oils straight from the kitchen pantry. Somehow I have not acquired this habit.I’ve been using this for a few weeks now. Are my age spots any lighter? I can’t tell.This is a nice product. For the money, I might start trying kitchen oils instead.

As I mature, I try to take diligent care of my skin. That is why I was eager to try NOW BEAUTY Bakuchiol and Avocado Oil Face Serum.This is a very nice serum. A little goes a long way, and I find that only a drop or two will cover my face and neck. It absorbs quickly into my skin and makes it feel hydrated and comfortable. It makes my skin appear to glow with health. It did not irritate my sensitive skin in any way.Of course, I knew what avocado oil was and how beneficial it is for the skin. However, I had never before heard of bakuchiol oil, so I did some research. It turns out, it is a natural alternative to retinol. Retinol and this oil both stimulate collagen production, strengthen the skin, and minimize lines and wrinkles. But bakuchiol is gentler. It also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Unlike the animal-derived retinol, bakuchiol oil is from a plant.

I have very sensitive skin, and this works well for me. No burning, redness, or issues. I’ve been using another brand of Bakuchiol, so I doubt I will see any drastic change with this. I’m using it for maintenance. So I can evaluate it on how it applies and how it feels. I have freckled skin, and the age spots have increased as I passed 50.The oil is very drippy, which makes it difficult to apply. I can do only tiny amounts or it will run off my finger. But it does absorb well and leave my skin feeling smooth and soft. I was surprised that it doesn’t feel greasy. I have used avocado oil in homemade products before, and it really is nice on the skin.The other brand of Bakuchiol I’ve tried comes in a cream form, so in comparison, this doesn’t apply as easily. But, this is priced at a decent value.

I feel it was a good value for the price…just not for me. This product had no real scent. The only problem I had was the oiliness left on the skin. It didn’t really absorb into the skin quickly enough for me. Therefore; I sent it back.
