I’d love to be one of those girls who could make my whole face shimmer, but I look like a wet poodle when I try, as my skin is super oily, and my skin’s texture is NOT so great, as I have very large pores, so that look is sadly out for me. I must go matte, and even with matte products, I have found much disappointment over the years. It never wants to stay that way 😞. Behold my friends if you paddle in the same boat as my own.. check this IDUN powder OUT! This stuff is bomb for skin like mine! (Continue on please, if you can relate.)I’ll never find 250% true perfection in any powder, I’ve tried hundreds if not more, and I can’t even rate the one I’ve settled on for years now out of ALL of the options attempted, a full 5 star review, so my 4.5 stars here is like somebody else’s’ 5+ stars, as my skin is THAT picky to what it tolerates and how it reacts to powder, coupled along with the powder’s longevity factor. Plus, now at 46, I have lines and flaws that I never used to have, which only makes makeup harder and more complicated over time. This is good stuff 👍!It goes on with a nice, light-weight feel to it, using my own powder brush at home. I don’t use ANY included powder puffs and/or sponge pads, not ever. With my foundation that would mess me up, but some prefer using the included applicators. That’s not for me. But it goes on nice with my powder brush (my new fave is IDUN’s brush), doesn’t feel heavy at all, it doesn’t accentuate every flaw and crease in my skin, or accentuate my pores, which is awesome. It can’t just erase every problem that I have, which are many skin woes. It isn’t magic, nothing is though. So, for a powder it gets as close to perfect as it gets, as far as my particular skin’s needs. I feel like my oily skin stays in check for a decent amount of time, which if you saw my skin pumping out oil constantly, you’d see what it takes to control it. Mild touch-ups help throughout the day. This IS a quality powder, and one of the best I’ve tried, especially in pressed form. It actually might be #1 in that particular genre.** just to note, for other skin types, less oily like my own, I’m sure that the shimmer version is of equal quality and brilliance for those it properly suits. IDUN makes some really good cosmetics 😍. **I’m super happy, and I do think I will be ordering this again 😃! It’s worthy of a buy and try, in my opinion.4.5 stars! 9.5/10 very HIGH recommendation score for my particular skin type (aging, oily, large pores.)⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+ 1/2I hope that you’ve found my review to be helpful :).

Idun Minerals pressed powder…📚 I really liked that this is a 100% vegan, dermatologist tested, cruelty free, and free of preservatives, fragrances, and talc.📚 The compact itself is pretty and functions well. The mirrorr is nice.📚 The applicator is ridiculous! It is thin and flimsy and doesn’t do anything but roll around in your fingertips, useless as an applicator.📚 I ordered translucent matte. The coloring seems to be accurate. The pressed powder is super compressed! So much so that it is difficult to get any on my applicator. Since the applicator that comes with this product is useless, I found one of my own that I already knew I liked. It was still very difficult and I had to nearly scrub at the powder to get any on the applicator.📚 The coverage is minimal at best. It does nothing to hide fine lines and in fact I felt like it accentuates them around the eye area. It did nothing to add a glow either. It does take the slight oily shine off my face but doesnt last long. Less expensive drugstore compacts work better and last longer.📚 Summary… this was a disappointing product for me. The applicator is ridiculous and I feel the product is overpriced for what you get and what it does. Results do not match the product claims, save your money.

This IDUN face powder is translucent, finely milled and looks/works nice over my foundation, but I took a star off because it is so densely compacted that it’s difficult to pick much up product using a soft Kabuki brush, which is my preferred method of applying face powder. The powder came with a thin circle of foam, but I don’t know if the foam is considered packaging to protect the powder, or an applicator. The foam is very thin so it doesn’t seem like it would be of much use as an applicator. However, after not having much luck picking up any powder with my soft brush, I tried using the foam as an applicator. The powder’s surface was so hard that I didn’t have much success using the foam, either. Finally I ended up scratching the surface with my fingernail in hopes of breaking whatever seal was on the powder, to get it loosened up so that my brush could pick some up. This did help, and I think that the more I use it and swipe my brush across it, the more efficiently the powder will load onto my brush.I don’t know all the makeup rules, so perhaps a soft Kabuki brush is meant to be used only with loose powder and not a compact? I don’t know, but the Kabuki brush I have is also from IDUN and it is fabulous, so I feel like this is a company that knows what they are doing. And of course no one wants to carry loose powder in their bag or purse (what a mess) so if you’re looking for a compact that will keep your purse and/or makeup bag clean, this one is probably a good bet for that because it is unlikely to break or leak powder.Overall, I am pleased with how this powder looks and performs on my face, but I wish it was easier to dispense onto my brush. On the other hand, the fact that the powder is so densely compacted means it is probably a good powder to carry in my purse for on-the-go touch-ups, as it is unlikely to crumble or break.

This doesn’t come in an outer product box. It just came in the contact in a plastic bag.The compact is plastic. It has a nice look to it. I noticed when I opened it that the pan inside looked like it was put in upside down because the design was upside down, but then when I went to move it I saw that the pan kind of moved around. Then when I went to use it the pan kept moving around. I ended up carefully flipping it over with my hand open, the pan came right out. With a highlighter costing $23.76 (at the time of writing this review), I kind of expected more. Of course, I can glue it back down myself. But, that shouldn’t really be necessary, especially when first getting it.I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect with this. They had 2 options – “Transparent Matte” and “Transparent Shimmer.” The “Transparent Matte” said it was a “mattifying mineral powder” that gives a soft focus finish. It gives sheer coverage. It said it was a translucent setting powder with instant blurring effect and reduces shine. The “Transparent Shimmer” said it was a “translucent mineral powder highlighter” that “locks your foundation in place.” It also said that it delicately diffuses light, enhancing radiance of your complexion with a subtle, natural-looking healthy glow, while locking your foundation in place. It said it had a versatile radiant finish. It is a “multi-functioning product” that can be used as a finishing powder or as a subtle highlighter.I decided to go with the “Translucent Shimmer.” I have normal to dry skin, more on the drier side with some extremely dry areas. Because of that, I don’t usually like mattifying products. I don’t even usually like powders at all because they tend to just look dry and/or cakey on me. But, there are some glowy/illuminating powders I have come to love. There is one powder that came in the Physicians Formula All Star palette that looked like it was a highlighter, but it also said it was a “glow-enhancing powder” and was meant for all over the face. I was skeptical at first since it looked just like a highlighter and seemed way too glowy to be put all over the face, but it worked great! It gave my skin a nice, healthy glow to it without looking powdery, dry, or cakey, and it set my makeup in place! I loved it and have loved it ever since! So, since then, I’m always looking for other glowy powders! This one sounded like it would be more subdued than the Physicians Formula one. With the PF one, you definitely need to use a light hand or you can use too much and be too glowy. This does give the skin a really healthy look to it. I wouldn’t really call it glowy. It’s not really a glow. The skin just looks healthy if that makes sense. You can see a slight glow in the powder, but it’s so subtle it is hard to notice. I do have really pale skin, so that might factor in. But, even when I picked some up on my finger and swatched it on my arm, I still could barely see the glow. Honestly, if it didn’t say it had a glow, I might not even notice it! But, it does look amazing on my skin! My skin doesn’t look dry or powdery at all when I use this! It sets my makeup in place, but leaves my skin looking healthy, which I love!Overall, I think this is a great setting powder for people like me who want to be able to set their makeup, but don’t want the dry, powdery, even cakey look that most powders will give. This will set your makeup in place and leave your skin looking nice and healthy! I give it 4 stars. It would be 5 if the pan wasn’t loose and falling out when I got it.

Finding cheap optics that actually work is not always an easy endeavor. I have purchased multiple brands of optics for multiple switches by different vendors, and even with the “secret” command to enable 3rd party transceivers, they still don’t work.Since I had a chance to test out this brand, I jumped at it and requested the 40G QSFP+ (Arista) and figured I’d give it a shot. The optic arrived very well packaged in a blister pack tucked away in a box, simple but effective. I popped it in my Arista, changed the speed to 40g on my port and boom! I was up and running.I’ve included snapshots of all the applicable “show” commands for the transceiver but as a note, the “show interfaces eeprom” command outputs a lot of lines so that is in 2 picsPros:• Cost• Shipping time (arrived next day)• Usability/interoperability• SpecsCons:• None so far, will update once I use the full 40g lane*I received this free as part of the Vine Voices Review program. My reviews and opinions are unbiased, honest and are never coerced from the vendor*

This was my 9th Opstran module. I have a 100gig switch that also supports lower speeds, and I put this in for connections to 40gig NICs in some of my hosts where a 3 foot DAC wouldn’t work. Great choice, reasonable price, and consistent quality from Opstran.

Cheap transceiver with solid build quality. Fired right up in our Juniper switch and established link. I’ll update this review if it ever fails!
