This review is for the Dorman 905-512 steering bearingPerfect fit and I mean PERFECT!!!This solved all the rattling issues on my 2005 Silverado 2500hd. It always felt like the front of the truck was falling apart but after replacing the bearing with this one, it is like new again. I turned the steering wheel to the left until the onstar button was pointing to the floorboard then put my seat belt through the steering wheel and buckled it to hold the steering wheel in place. You do NOT want your steering wheel to turn while it is disconnected. Then, I took the 15mm bolt out if the intermediate steering shaft under the hood, then removed the 15mm bolt from the steering shaft under the dash. I let the steering shaft rest toward the firewall while I worked. It was out of the way enough. I pried the old bearing out with a flat head screwdriver. It was easy to remove. I greased up the new bearing and the steering shaft coming down from the steering wheel. This is the part that gets hard. Once the new bearing was started onto the shaft, I used a rag in my right hand hand and just kept pushing, pulling, twisting and cussing while I was wiggling the steering wheel with my left hand. (DO NOT TURN THE STEERING WHEEL, JUST WIGGLE IT BACK AND FORTH) The rag made it easier to hold the new bearing. While wiggling the steering wheel the bearing is going to move with the shaft but it still made it easier to put on once I started wiggling it. It is a tight space and it takes a LOT of force to get the bearing in place. Just keep pushing and wiggling it until it snaps in. I heard mine snap in. Do not pry it in with a screwdriver, the plastic will break or crack. I’m sure there area tools that make this easier but I only had my hands. Once it was snapped in, I cleaned the grease off the shaft, put the steering shaft back on under the dash and under the hood and put the bolts back on. It took me a total of 20 minutes to change the bearing from beginning to end. Took it for a test drive and no more rattling sound. If you are feeling and hearing a rattling sound, try this part first before replacing your intermediate steering shaft. The rattling is most likely coming from the old factory bearing. You can also get under your dash, grab the steering shaft and shake it, If you can move it and you hear the rattling, it will most likely be your steering bearing. One thing to note! The OLD bearing will have the opening/gap toward the top of the truck, the NEW bearing will have the opening/gap toward the floorboard. There is a small cut out on the right side of the steering column for the tab to go into and the bearing will only fit one way. See attached pictures. Sorry, I didn’t get a picture of the old bearing in place before I started.

Smell is personal preference, so how can one be objective? You can’t. So with that in mind, this does/does not smell exactly like honeysuckle. Some days, it smells like they just picked the blooms, other days it will smell close, but you know it’s not. I will say I am very fussy about scent, and I love it so much, I bought another bottle. The scent will last hours, but not all day long. It is a very sweet smelling just as honeysuckle is, but for some, it may be too overbearing. I’ve gotten many compliments on the fragrance. I would defiantly recommend this product.

Great product. Been using these for a few years and they worked flawlessly. They never leak and if you follow the instructions and run 2 quarts of water when you install them, they have absolutely no aftertaste. The very easy to install. You just have to Google your refrigerator model and look up how to reset your filter reminder. Again this represents great value for your money.

I’m not sure what I expected sunshine to smell like but this ain’t it, haha.Overall it has a very….clean scent with like a hint of citrus and vanilla somewhere. I asked my family members what they think it smells like and the answers I kept getting where either around soap, citrus or some sort of pastries. I feel like a lot of people exaggerated with their reviews on this because it doesnt smell “hideous” it’s just more of a lotion-powdery kind of nice boy type scent. I dont know if I had to describe this scent as a person, I feel it’s what the papi at the corner store would wear if he cleaned up. Overall it’s not bad but not something I’d wear.

Okay NONE of the reviews did this justice!!!! Y’all, this doesn’t smell like gardenia, or alcohol, or jasmine flower, or other scents that’s commonly used in honeysuckle perfumes. It smells like HONEYSUCKLE!!!! Like you know the little honey drops that we used to take out of honeysuckles and eat as kids?! Yea, that honeysuckle. It smells like the dewy, watery, fresh scent of honeysuckles. So sweet but light. It’s not an overbearing perfume but misty like the real honeysuckles. It’s literally like I’m walking through my childhood neighborhood again in the morning. I put it on after every shower and I go the rest of my day smelling like it. Everyone compliments it. Well I’ve found my signature scent and I hope they never discontinue. Definitely work $20 bucks and I’m a super cheap person so that’s something.Edit: Some ppl said I smell sour? After the flower fragrance fades that’s what it smells like. Also, the bottle leaked out a lot of the perfume.

Ok so I am a major migraine sufferer and I realize not everyone will be bothered by the same scents but this does not give me even a small headache! I am so pleased as it smells just like real honeysuckle and it could last longer but it does last a good 6 hours at least. I do use it a lot. I put it on my sheets also. I hope the manufacturer never changes this formula! I’m obsessed! I haven’t gotten any compliments yet but I haven’t been out too much.

Removing the old one wasn’t a hassle, it was installing this new one that was. The part looks well built, and fair to say that to an extent it is considering the idea that their isn’t really a better way to improve a part like this. But anyways the problem with my installation is that the middle ring came apart while on the shaft of the steering wheel, when I pulled this part out, only the green shell came out, the bearings and donut ring stayed stuck on the shaft, in was such a hassle getting them off. Considering how tight the area to work is plus the tube in which you insert this part where the shadt ride in is also really small. I had to use the end hook of a boungy cord and slide it in to where it would get behind the bearing first and then used a wrench on the other end of the hooke for leverage to push toward the fire wall, once I got that out it got harder with the donut ring, but after a while I was able to get it out and it was such a relieve, after that I greased up the bearing I snap the donut ring back in (make sure it really snaps in if this happens to you, it should really get stuck in the shell) and then rubbed grease all over the outer shell to help with installing so that it could just slide in the tight hole. Make sure that you aligned the one part of the shell that goes into the cutout of the tube. And do it all in one go, I feel that if you try to pull it out and pushing it back in once it’s kind of in there you run the risk of popping that ring donut and bearing out while on the shaft, I feel like that’s what happened to me the first time. All in one done get stressed out, it’s not the end of the world… and if it is when you’re reading this then I’m sorry. Lol

Clunking noise while turning stopped so evidently this works.Was a b!tch to install – just have to go at it 3-4 times and eventually it will fit in place.Seems to me the back end of this plastic part would catch on a metal piece keeping it from being perfectly square with the shaft. Once I was able to pull it in just far enough to clear the metal in back it slid in place.Don’t give up – just walk away and come back as many times as it takes.
