They did achieve a smoke scent… but more like hot dogs.

The scent is wonderfully smoky, but it lasts for maybe 20 minutes annnnnd it’s gone. It’s is for sure not worth the asking price.

If you remember those deliberately-disgusting scratch-and-sniff stickers from the ’80s, this smells very reminiscent of those. Should’ve called it “Tire Fire” or something; it’s not so much “smoky” as “acrid.” A shame, because so many Demeters are so great.I’ll say this for it: it’s strong, and it lingers.
